The dimensions of Web graphics are measured in pixels. A banner is 190 pixels wide and 35 pixels tall. Here is an example of a standard banner:

468x60 pixels
The dimensions of Web graphics are measured in pixels. A banner is 468 pixels wide and 60 pixels tall. Here is an example of a standard banner:

Max File Size of 10K
Your ad banner is a graphic file. The size of that file must be no larger than 10K, or 10,000 bytes of memory. You can check the size of your file by opening the directory where you saved the graphic. The size of the file is usually listed next to its name.

GIF animation OK
Your banner may contain animation that is built using GIF graphics. The file name of your banner graphic must end with the '.gif' file extension. Your banner cannot include Active HTML, Java graphics, or Real Audio.

All advertisements will be reviewed and are subject to approval by KidsDirect prior to placement. We reserve the right to refuse to provide advertising services to any advertiser or to reject any banner ad deemed offensive or inappropriate.

As outlined herein, advertisements or sites are expressly prohibited if they:

• violate any applicable law, regulation, or third party right,

• encourage illegal activity or racism,

• promote or utilize software or services designed to deliver unsolicited email,

• relate to pornography or contain links to pornographic sites.

• Guidelines
  KidsDirect/BabiesDirect/ParentsDirect member sites must conform to stringent quality guidelines, to ensure that the visitors to your site are interested customers. Our guidelines are as follows:
  

  • Only Root level domain name sites

  • No objectionable content (pornography, file trading (warez), hate speech)

  • English language only

  • No forced or automated clicks or popup windows
